Longview Interfaith Hospitality Network (LIHN) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. LIHN partners with local congregations in a synergistic network to provide shelter, three nutritious meals a day and a program directed towards self-sufficiency.
The program services include:
A family day facility shelter, evening shelter and meals at the congregation host sites, case management, transportation, personal hygiene, educational tutoring for children, referrals to employment agencies, housing, medical/dental services, clothing sources, and other referrals to agencies in the community, follow up program after families graduate from the program (See our Step 2 Success page)
Each family works with our case manageron an individual plan. Goals include searching for employment and/or aid(s) to obtain a regular income so they can maintain housing. The Network Director and Case Manager collaborate with families to procure resources. When the family completes the program by obtaining an income and securing housing, they are rewarded with household furnishings, groceries, and cleaning products which aid in household set up.
